GUREN is run as an engineering-led business. Decisions about specification, tolerance and material start with the engineering team, and a design is only released to production once the drawing, the process and the inspection method all agree.

Day-to-day management covers four areas:

• Engineering & R&D — product design, custom development and technical support for customer applications.
• Production — machining, assembly and test planning, with the schedule driven by delivery dates.
• Quality — incoming, in-process and final inspection, with records kept for every unit.
• Sales & Service — technical enquiries, quotations and after-sales support for overseas customers.

Every enquiry is handled by an engineer who can explain how the unit was designed, built and tested.
